Cobra 29 LX EU Multi Standard CB Radio Review By M0OGY

Hello, and welcome to the first European Review of the new Cobra 29 LX EU CB Radio. Back in October 2010, I showed the then new Cobra 29 LX LE that was developed to celebrate Cobra Dynascan/Electronics 50 years in manifacturing CB Radios. Since this limited production run ,a new standard AM FCC spec unit has become a big sellar in the United States and North America. The LE review showed that many people commented that an EU spec radio was needed and would sell well in Europe. I agreed with this , also hoping that Cobra would design a new radio for Europe. PLEASE NOTE... this unit is a pre production sample kindly supplied by Cobra Electronics for the sole purpose to conduct a review. As any review,I will show an honest and unbiased opinion of the product. This radio certainly stands out from the current crop of multi norm radios that are for sale in Europe, many with the appeal of "White Goods". First impressions are very good, and I feel this radio will become a good sellar in the market place. One point is that it hasn't got the SSB mode that has become available in many countries over the last few months. I personally feel this should be includeded in updated models in the future (if possible) The RRP of this radio is between 169-189 Euros. Please watch Part 2....."On Air Tests" coming soon!!
