Cobra 29: Adjusting talkback volume

Share

Cobra CB Radio model 29 (all versions with talk-back)

DESCRIPTION: How to increase the volume of the talk-back.

ACTION: Install a jumper from the top of R21 to the top of R77. This will effectively

reduce the resistance of R21 to zero ohms, increasing the maximum volume of the talk-back function.

The picture shows the location of R21 and R77.

ADJUSTMENTS: None

NOTES: If the talk-back volume is turned too high, acoustic feedback can occur which will cause a squealing noise. The solution is to turn down the talk-back volume.

Note: In the photo below, the wiring bundle was moved for clarity. It is not necessary to move the wiring bundle in order to install the jumper.
