The Lighthouses of Spain could become HotelsThe State Ports entity is considering the possibility of allowing the conversion of many of our old lighthouses in hotels.

In fact, the State Ports has unveiled its initiative called 'Beacons of Spain', with the aim of transforming many of these historic lighthouses in hotels on the edge of the sea.

State Ports has a heritage of 387 lighthouses, of which are inhabited only around fifty. Although none of these headlights and exercises its original function, all have an undeniable historical and heritage value, in addition to being located in coastal sites of privilege, in almost all cases.

Many of these lighthouses of our country have one or several homes and outbuildings and could be the starting point for new projects for hotels, although in most cases your offer of places will not be unduly wide.
