hamradio Headphone Amplifier Project

I bought a headphone amplifier kit from Yebo Electronics, Cape Town to use in a lightning detector.  This is  a simple circuit designed for use in portable radios and cassette players.  With a 3 VDC power supply it will deliver 200mW into 32 Ohms.  With a 9 VDC power supply, output is 1 W into 8 Ohms for small loudspeakers.

Construction is straigthforward.  Be sure to observer polarity when placing the electrolytic capacitors.
If a mains driven power supply is used, connect at least 1000 uF across the DC supply rail to avoid 50 Hz hum.  The amplier has two inputs and two outputs.
